Plans have been submitted (P/2024/2637) for a new health and fitness spa on Chiswick High Road.

Health Spa + is intending to take over the former premises of furniture retailer Lounge Co at 104-108 Chiswick High Road by the junction with Upham Park Road which has been vacant since April 2023.

The new business aims to provide a ‘holistic wellness experience’ with a health café, workout studio and spa in the basement.

On the ground floor there will be two multifunctional studios to accommodate boxing, crossfit, pilates, dancing, weightlifting and a coach station. The Blue Table Café will provide hot and cold food. No indication has been given as to whether this will be open to the general public.

The spa in the basement will have a steam room, ice spa, seating area and a relax room dedicated to Halotherapy.

The application does not mention operating hours although a consultant’s noise report submitted with the application assumes 24-hour operation.

No extension or change in footprint to the existing building is planned. If permission is granted for changes to the frontage, then it is intended to start work in October with a view to opening next July.

The total size of the ground floor spaces is 228.72 sqm and the basement area is slightly smaller.

If you wish to comment on the application, visit the planning section of the Hounslow Council web site and search using reference (P/2024/2637).
