More details have been revealed of plans for a health spa on Chiswick High Road in an application for a premises licence.
Healthspan Plus Ltd is converting the former premises of the Lounge Co at numbers 104-108 on the corner of Upham Park Road into what it describes as a ‘holistic wellness experience’ with a café on the ground floor along with two multi-function studios and a workout studio and spa in the basement which will have a steam room, ice spa, seating area and a relax room dedicated to Halotherapy.
The Blue Table Café will have capacity for 44 diners with a possible extra 30 if permission is given for outdoor dining, with the café open to non-members.
The licence application is to serve alcohol with food up until 11pm for consumption on the premises only. The company is advertising for delivery drivers indicating that it plans to offer takeaway and delivery from the site.
Planning permission to convert the unit, which has been vacant since April 2023, was granted in October for an application (P/2024/2637) .
Mikhail Gerchuk, a former Russian telecoms executive with British nationality, who advises small to medium sized start-up companies, was the sole director of Healthspan + Ltd until he stepped down in November. According to the latest filing he retains majority control, but he has been replaced on the company’s board by 31-year-old Ivan Slobodin, a former employee of Bain who is currently listed as working for Ocula Technologies a Belfast based software company.
