Gunnersbury tops the table with 100% pass rate
A level results from schools in the local area have been good with most schools reporting so far getting pass rates similar to or better than the records set in 2007. Top marks in the borough go to Gunnersbury School with A to C grade success of 91% and an A to B pass rate of 65% They also received a 100% pass rate over all. Chiswick Community School saw 68% of exams being awarded A to C grades and Brentford School for Girls saw 60% at that level with St. Mark's Roman Catholic School at 85%. Gumley House achieved their best ever result with 81% of passes at A to C and Isleworth and Syon also broke their record with 76% of passes at the top grades. They were also the only other school in the area apart from Gunnersbury to achieve a 100% pass rate. The Green School did particularly well in terms of A-B passes which represented 59% of the total, their best performance ever. James Whiting, Deputy Headteacher of Chiswick School, stated that, 'this is testament to the ongoing hard work of staff and students.' Cllr Robert Oulds, executive member for Children’s Services and Education said, “I am very pleased with the overall level of achievement across the borough. The number of students winning places at Oxbridge this year shows that our schools are helping more students achieve exceptional results."
