Most recent transactions suggest fall from peak levels

The latest published figures on Chiswick property suggest that prices have started to come down slightly from the peaks seen at the end of last year.
The average price of a Chiswick home dipped below £600,000 in December. This compares to the record for a single month of £670,764 in October 2007. The average price of W4 properties sold in November was £653,666.
For the fourth quarter of 2007 as a whole the average price of a terraced property in Chiswick is up by 31.1% over the last year with flats rising at a more sedate 16.6%. On a three year view the rises have been more similar with both sections of the market up by around 50%.
