Le Vacherin Gets The 'Bistrots Modernes' Treatment | |||||
Malcolm John treats his acclaimed restaurant to a refurbishment
Keen to get up and running, Malcolm John opened Le Vacherin on a tight budget after giving the premises a quick once over with a paint brush. Le Vacherin will be closed from 5th to 19th August for the refurbishment which will include a kitchen upgrade, new sash windows to the front, a new granite bar and a deep mahogany floor. “It’s not going to be overly designed,” says Malcolm “It will still keep its character and remain true to its bistro roots. But it’s time to inject some fresh energy into the place. I need to keep up with the competition in the growing market place – hence the branding Le Vacherin Malcolm John.” The restaurant covers will remain at 80 and whilst the menus will see little change, the Roast Chicken for Two will make a welcome return.
