A special celebratory studio showcasing the different classes held by Ballet4Life was held in Chiswick earlier this month.

The event held on 3 August marked the 20th anniversary of the organisation and saw class participants performing short segments from the different classes.

There were pieces from Ballet4Lie Intermediate and Advanced Ballet, 50+ Ballet, Beginner Improvers, Contemporary, and Repertory classes. Two dancers performed classical ballet variations from “Swan Lake” and “Sleeping Beauty” which had also been performed at the Bedford Park Festival in June.

The showcase highlighted the variety of classes on offer from Ballet to Contemporary Dance as well as the range in ages and skill levels and received a warm response from the audience.

This was followed by a catered gathering at which the dancers, teachers, family, and friends enjoyed themselves together and many previous Ballet4life class participants popped in to say hello.

The Sunday Masterclass series which was set up in January in order to celebrate the 20th Anniversary has been well-received. The next one scheduled in a Beginner Flamenco Masterclass with Emma Flett on Sunday 29 September at 11am at ArtsEd.

Ballet4life has held classes at the studios at ArtsEd for the last 20 years and this autumn it is very pleased to be able to provide the new students at ArtsEd with special offers for the Ballet4Life dance classes and for its Masterclasses and Workshops.

Awareness was also raised for the work of its sister charity Move into Wellbeing® with information being shared, leaflets handed out and a retirement collection held.

Founder and Director, long-term local resident Donna Schoenherr said, “It is truly hard to believe we have been around for 20 years! I look forward to the next years of delivering dance to our community with great joy, passion, and inspiration.”
