The final designs for a proposal to build a residential tower block by Hogarth Roundabout have been submitted to Hounslow Council.

The plan (P/2024/2610) drawn up by architects Simpson Haugh, is for a 10-storey building containing 132 flats.

An earlier design for a thirteen-storey building consulted on last year drew a negative reaction from residents. The applicant says the proposal was developed following feedback from the public and bodies such as Historic England and the Greater London Authority. This included reducing the proposed height of the building.

The development by Burlington Properties London Limited would see the demolition of the existing five storey building and the provision of flexible commercial floorspace as well as the residential component.

The building would comprise three main elements, ranging from 3 to 10 storeys or 35 metres at its highest point. A 6-storey block would be located closest to Hogarth Roundabout frontage, a 3-storey block at the Palladian Garden frontage and the 10-storey element would fronting onto Burlington Lane. A 1-storey podium level garden would be at the centre of the site.

Seven of the units on the lower floors would be offered at a London living rent. 52 of the flats would have one bedroom, 52 would have two bedrooms with 19 3-bedroom apartments and one with 4.

10% of the total residential units are allocated as wheelchair accessible or adaptable.

Comments on the proposal can be made in the planning section of the Hounslow Council web site quoting reference P/2024/2610.
