Commuter Couple Mugged By Hooded Men

Witnesses Sought To Early Morning Incident on Acton Green

Ealing Borough Police are appealing for help in identifying two males suspects they believe were responsible for a robbery, which occurred around 06.55hrs on Monday 16th July.

The victims, a 29yr old male and his wife, were on their way to Turham Green Tube Station when two men approached them from behind.

One suspect threatened the victims with a hammer and stole a laptop, a handbag and a mobile phone.

Alerting local residents to the incident, the male victim wrote on the ChiswickW4.com forum "We had just entered the park at the gate on south parade opposite 'The Orchard', so only about 200-300 metres from the tube station. There were no other people in the park, and a bus and car pulled up during the commotion, but could do little."

The suspects were last seen heading back onto South Parade and into the Orchard, W4.

The first suspect is described as a white male, approx 25yrs, approx 6’ 02”, possibly short brown hair, stocky build wearing a dark blue hooded top.

The second suspect as a white male, approx 22yrs, 5’ 08”, slim build wearing a dark coloured hooded top.

Property stolen included a black IBM Thinkpad X60 Laptop in a black case value £1500, a black leather bag and a Nokia mobile phone.
