Chiswick estate agents Chestertons are currently marketing the most expensive W4 property of all time, eclipsing Jasper Conran’s £12.5 million Walpole House.

Although quite what three bedroom house could possibly be worth between £44,000,000 to £48,400,000 is puzzling.

A look behind the headline reveals that what is actually for sale is ‘a unique, secure gated development comprising block 94 self contained one, two, and three bedroom apartments and 104 parking spaces’.

The development is also advertised on property website Primelocation.com where they offer interested parties ‘help with finding a mortgage for the £44,000,000 to £48,400,000’ asking price.

Situated close to Kew Bridge, the site is just over two acres in size with a plot of land to the rear which has the potential [subject to planning consent] to become a small block of six one bedroom flats.
