Local team move closer to promotion zone
Chiswick and Latymer moved closer to the promotion zone with an impressive win over local rivals Kew. Skipper Clyde top scored for Chiswick with 85, and with Bobby Thakkar also getting a half century, Chiswick set Kew 278 to win. Despite a fine 55 from Rob Tindall, Kew were all out for 195, with Sunni Singh the pick of the bowlers taking 5 for 60. After last weeks close loss the Chiswick and Latymer 2nd XI were on the right side of a thriller against ICI Paints. Noel Seneviratne was the star, with figures of 4-25 in ICI Paints innings of 118, then top scoring batting at number 11 with 29 not out. The 3rd XI lost to NPL Teddington, despite fine fifties from Avneet Wadhra and Steve Van Eaden. The 4th XI moved into second place in their division with a big win over Bagshot and the 5th XI beat Royal Ascot by 3 wickets thanks to a brilliant 130 from 18 year old Riccardo Paeayachee.
