Chiswick Continue Strong Start to Season

Another win for Chiswick & Latymer C.C. first XI

Chiswick and Latymer 1 st XI continued there fine start to the season with a 5 wicket win against Burnham on Saturday, moving to third place in division 2A of the Thames Valley League.

Chiswick bowled Burnham out for 148, thanks to excellent bowling by Brendan Williamson (4 wickets) and Sunni Sigh (3). Jon San Jose top scored for Chiswick with a hard hit 48, with Singh providing valuable support and completing a fine all round individual performance

Meanwhile the 2 nd XI lost narrowly to Falkland 3 rd XI, despite an excellent opening stand by Bruce Frederick (89) and Nick Badman (54). Falkland got the 234 required with 10 balls and 4 wickets to spare.

The 3 rd XI lost at home to Datchet, with Shibo Chacko the highlight for Chiswick with 51. The 4 th XI drew at Cove, Roan Plotz scoring his maiden century for the club and Jay Dhillon scoring 85, while the 5 th XI had another good win, beating OMT by 6 wickets, Will Comery taking 6-50

The Sunday 1 st XI had a convincing win in the Sunday Old Boys League, beating Chipstead by 7 wickets. Nick Badman scored 119, sharing a big second wicket partnership with Andy Wood (87) to chase Chipstead’s imposing target of 305 for the loss of only 3 wickets.

Division 4A: Chiswick and Latymer 2 nd XI 234-5 (B Frederick 89, N Badman 54) Falkland 3 rd XI 235-6 (R Geraghty 102). Falkland win by 4 wickets.

Division 4B: Chiswick and Latymer 3 rd XI 179 (S Chacko 51) Datchet 2 nd XI 181-5 (T Jones 60) Datchet win by 5 wickets

Division 7A: Chiswick and Latymer 4 th XI 220-4 (R Plotz 100* J Dhillon 85) Cove 4 th XI 164-8 (I Ali 5-30) Match Drawn

Division 7B: OMT 4 th XI 147 (W Comery 6-50), Chiswick and Latymer 5 th XI 151-4 (M.Szatkowski 59*). Chiswick win by 6 wickets

Fullers Sunday Old Boys League

Chipstead and Coulsdon Walcountians, Sunday 1st XI 305-8, Chiswick and Latymer Sun 1 st XI 307-3 ( N Badman 119, A Wood 87). Chiswick win by 7 wickets.
