Soho Café Bar Plans to Take Over Outsider Tart Site |

Berwick Street based My Place has applied for late night licence
The owners of a café bar in Soho are planning to open up another branch at the former location of Outsider Tart. My Place has been based on Berwick Street since 2015 and gets overwhelmingly positive reviews on Trip Adviser with the occasional gripe about prices. It is frequented by local artist and dandy George Skeggs who is better known as Soho George. The Soho establishment features the work of local artists on its walls and serves coffee, pastries, breakfast and brunch as well as providing ‘vibrant evenings’. It appears to be particularly proud of its expresso martinis. A company called FSD London Ltd is making the application and it is understood that this entity shares directors with the company that owns the Soho business. It is seeking permission for an all-day restaurant with internal and external seating at 83-85 Chiswick High Road which is at the junction with Chiswick Lane.
Plans submitted with the application suggests that no change is planned to the interior of the premises. The application is for a licence to serve from 10am every day to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays with the premises closing half an hour later. The site was repossessed from Outsider Tart earlier this year when the previous tenants failed to pay their rent. Any comments on the application should be sent to licensing@hounslow.gov.uk.
