Chiswick schools outperform national averages again
Department for Education have published primary school league tables reflecting the results from Key Stage 2 tests taken by Year Six children in May 2011. These Tables give information on the achievements of pupils in local primary schools, and how they compare with other schools in the Local Authority (LA) area. The tables should be considered alongside other sources of information such as Ofsted reports and school prospectuses. Ofsted school inspection reports can be obtained from Ofsted’s website at www.ofsted.gov.uk or direct from the school on request. Most schools in the area have substantially outperformed the national averages in all categories. In Chiswick the tables show outstanding results from St. Mary's R.C. Primary School saw 97% of pupils achieving Level 4 and above in both maths and English. The William Hogarth School performed best in terms of pupils making the expected progress in English with Grove Park School achieving the same feat in maths with a perfect score. Belmont School had the highest proportion of children reaching level 5 in maths with St. Mary's doing the same in English.
