A national newspaper is reporting that Ant McPartlin, the Chiswick-based TV presenter, was two times over the drink drive limit at the time of his involvement in a collision last month. He has had his court appearance at Wimbledon Magistrates Court, which was due to take place on 4 April, postponed. A new date has been set of 16 April. He is to appear on a charge of drink driving following a collision involving three vehicles on the Lower Richmond Road in Mortlake.
The Mirror newspapers says it has viewed the charge sheet held by the Metropolitan Police which shows that the breath test taken in the immediate aftermath of the collision gave a reading of 75mcg of alcohol per 100ml compared to the legal limit of 35 mcg.
