A double-decker bus has hit a building on Chiswick High Road this morning (14 December). There are no reports of anybody having been injured in the incident. The building is occupied by the Capital Housing Association. There is no official confirmation of the cause of the incident but some eye-witnesses believe the driver may have been mistakenly attempting to turn into the entrance to the recording studios. The entrance to the Stamford Brook bus depot is nearby. Chiswick High Road was partially closed around the time of the incident but has still reopened. We have asked Transport for London for further details about the cause of the accident but have yet to receive a reply. One local woman described how she had walked from Turnham Green tube station to her work at Hypoxi, when she spotted the Fire Brigade close to the former hairdressing academy, which is nos the Capital Housing Association. "There were people standing around who had come out of the bus garage and wondering what had happened. It's lucky there was nobody in the offices . I dont think there was anybody on the bus at the time as I didn't see anyone injured." She said the road was cleared fairly quickly and traffic resumed flowing.
