Wine and Song at St Michael's

Park Church to host evening with the group "Swingin"
A
concert will be given at the church of St.Michael and All Angels,
by the group "Swingin'", comprising a choir of around
25 people accompanied by various combinations of piano, guitar,
accordeon and saxophone.
The
group is drawn from an association of singing groups, "Vocales",
from Pau, in South-West France, each of which specialises in a
different repertoire. The concert will include songs from several
of these different traditions, including African chant, Gospel,
old French songs and the traditional music of the Basque country.
The group invites you to share an evening of warmth, rhythm, improvisation
(audience participation welcome!), but also emotion.
Tickets
on sale at the door at £6, reduced to £4 for concessions
(OAPs, children, students, etc.), to include a glass of wine from
one of the local appellations, Jurancon and Madiran.
The
concert is at St. Michael and All Angels Church on the 31st January
at 7.30 p.m.
