Serious accident near junction with Sutton Court Road

The A4 was closed eastbound earlier today following a serious accident in Chiswick near the junction with Sutton Court Road.

The latest report is that although the road has now reopened and the A4 is accessible from Sutton Court Road, tailbacks are occurring back to junction 2 on the M4 eastbound and back to Hammersmith Flyover west bound.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
