Peterborough 2 - Brentford 1
Brentford lost their third game on the bounce at Peterborough this evening as the hosts grabbed a dramatic late goal to win 2-1
The evening started poorly for Brentford when the recalled Pim Balkestein gave away a clumsy penalty which was slotted home by skipper McCann.
Brentford could have levelled immediately but Lewis denied Bean heroically before Posh took control of the first half with Brentford again sorely lacking in ideas.
The Bees did rally for part of the second half with Marc Laird scoring his first Brentford goal with about fifteen minutes to go.
Lewis then tipped over a Weston cross cum shot before substitute Jonathan Obika - on loan from Crystal Palace - snatched all three points in the last minute.
Brentford have frankly been poor since the snow enforced break and the standard of football produced is pretty awful. We've got Exeter at home on both Friday (league) and Monday (JPT) but support for the current manager and his punt it and hope football is on the wane with just 186 travelling Bees tonight. Turgid times at Griffin Park although Myles Weston did at least look a bit like his old self last night.
Bees - Lee, Spillane, Osborne, Pim, Woodman, Bean, Kev, Laird, Alexander (Forster), Macdonald
