Price average rises back above the million pound mark during the month

Chiswick property sale prices have risen back above the £1 million average in November according to Land Registry figures.
There have been 56 sales reported in the W4 post code area during the month at an average of £1,071,923.
Of the sales, four exceeded £2 million and 26 went for over £1 million. The most expensive property sale in the period was a flat in the new Noble House development just off Chiswick High Road which went for £3,500,000.
London continues to be the area of the country seeing the strongest price growth. During November the average price in the capital was £461,453 up another 1.2% compared to the previous month to bring the annual price rise to 17.4%
The Land Registry’s House Price Index shows an annual price increase of 7.1% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £176,581.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during September 2014 the number of completed house sales in England & Wales increased by 5% to 73,552 compared with 70,020 in September 2013
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in September 2014 increased by 8% to 1,172 from 1,088 in September 2013
