Prices continue to move upwards during Spring

The latest official figures for the local property market suggest that prices continued to rise during the Spring months.
The average sale price during the month of April was £718,228 with 46 properties changing hands during the month.
Of these nine sold for over £1 million with the most expensive selling for £2,385,000 on The Avenue in Bedford Park.
The May data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price rise of 0.4% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,677.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 7.7% to £365,359 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during March 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 25 per cent to 58,609 compared with 46,742 in March 2011.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in March 2012 decreased by 41 per cent to 501 from 845 in March 2011.
