House transactions in March 2008

Further evidence of a retracement in Chiswick property prices has been presented by the publication of the latest official figures.
The average sale price during March was £568,427. This is down on the levels seen during the last quarter of the 2007 when prices averaged £626,647. However, it is an increase from the level of £540,475 seen in February.
In January the monthly average was at an all time high partly thanks to to sale of a property in Barrowgate Road for over £3 million. If that property had been registered just one day later the average for February would have been £627,440.
