Much-loved Thai/greasy spoon to become sushi bar

This weekend (24th August) will see the closure of the Turnham Green Café on Turnham Green Terrace.

The move will come as a big disappointment to locals who enjoyed their menu which offered both traditional fry ups and tasty Thai noodle dishes.

The spate of Japanese restaurants in the area looks set to continue as the premises are to be taken over by a Japanese restaurant. The owners are believed to be the same people behind the Makato Sushi Bar on Devonshire Road.

At this stage it is not known whether this means that Makato is moving address or the company will have two outlets in Chiswick.
