The Pilot Regains Its Five Star Food Standards Rating |

The gastropub has come through re-inspection with flying colours
The Pilot gastropub in Wellesley Road, has won back its rating of 5 (for Food Hygiene ) in a recent inspection by Hounslow Council food inspectors. The gastropub lost its top rating for food hygiene in an inspection in May 2016 when it was told that Major Improvements were needed. The Wellesley Road gastropub, which is part of the Fuller's chain, had only just reopened prior to the inspection following an extensive refurbishment. After the disappointing rating, Fullers said it had worked to iron out the issues and was awaiting a reassessment. That has now taken place. The refurbishment at Wellesley Road had seen the pub retain its traditional pub feel with a few modern touches, creating a light and airy space. A new spring menu is now in place , boasting fresh, home-made food, including seasonal dishes, with ingredients from local suppliers.
