Vote in the Chiswick Restaurant Poll

Those hoping for an imminent opening of Turnham Green Terrace’s much anticipated Black & Blue restaurant will be disappointed to hear that Chiswick is low down of the company’s list of priorities.

According to an industry source, Black & Blue, who acquired the former Texas Lone Star site over year ago, did so to secure the Gloucester Road premises. The company felt that the Chiswick site was rather on the small side but had to buy it as part of the Texas Lone Star package.

We have contacted Black & Blue to ask when work might start on their Chiswick branch but have received no response from either the company or their PR agency.

Black & Blue, who have restaurants in Notting Hill Gate, Haverstock Hill, Wigmore Street, Gloucester Road and Borough Market, state on their website that they have been “growing the business quietly and efficiently for the past few years, building a reputation for serving great steaks with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of flavour.

“With all of our kitchens overseen by the same chef and the same management team, we ensure a consistency of quality that many of our competitors would die for. The Black & Blue experience is second to none.”

It would seem that unless the steak lovers of Chiswick fancy a trip up to Gloucester Road, we’re just going to have to wait and see if what they claim is true.
