Bardolino Restaurant Becomes Brick Oven | |||||
More pizza for Chiswick as Milan-based chain comes to W4
The former Bardolino restaurant and bar on Chiswick High Road is to remain an Italian-themed restaurant. It will be part of the Brick Oven chain and is expected to open at the end of the summer. Brick Oven is part of an Italian-owned restaurant group based in Milan, Italy, and the Chiswick restaurant will be the first in the UK. There are currently four Brick Oven restaurants in Milan specialising in wood-fired oven pizzas and Italian classic food. It is understood the lease for the restaurant was sold for in the region of £175,000. The New-York-style Italian restaurant Bardolinos closed four months ago and had replaced Frankies, which was owned by high-profile jockey Frankie Dettori Marco Pierre White. The lease on the bar and restaurant, which includes a south-facing garden terrace of 1100 square feet was handled by The Leisure Partnership which specialises in buying and selling fine-dining restaurants in central London. The restaurant and bar comprises 3,700 square feet. Alex Hill of The Leisure Partnership commented: “The site has the best garden terrace in the whole of Chiswick". July 20, 2012 |
