The water fountain at the Turnham Green Terrace Piazza is currently out of action following an attack by vandals.

The finial at the top of the structure has been knocked over and the fountain has been fenced off ahead of a repair.

The area is covered by CCTV and footage is being analysed to see if the culprits were caught on film.

Sabeel Khan, Head of Highways PFI at Hounslow Council, is looking at the matter with a view to having it back in action as soon as possible.

The fountain was brought back into use in 2020 after a campaign by Cllr John Tood which attracted the support of the Heritage of London Trust (HOLT). It had been out of action for many decades and the original finial was missing. A partnership between HOLT, Hounslow Council and the Drinking Fountain Association, led to the fountain being dismantled, old plumbing removed and new piping and taps
Installed along with a new finial. The stonework was cleaned and polished with the lettering regilded.

The Turnham Green fountain was originally donated in 1902 by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain & Cattle Trough Association.
