The monthly litterpick on Turnham Green this Sunday (23 April) is taking place on the day after Earth Day.
It is therefore an opportunity to take part locally in The Great Global Clean Up, a worldwide campaign to remove billions of pieces of trash from parks, beaches, rivers and lakes, trails, and parks to improve habitats, and prevent harm to wildlife and humans.
The arrangements remain the same as usual with volunteers meeting at at 2.30pm outside Christ Church Turnham Green, for about an hour of litter picking on the Green and the surrounding residential streets. Then it’s back to church by 3.30pm for tea and cake, and time to chat.
Remember to bring your own gardening/protective gloves if possible.
The litterpicks take place on the fourth Sunday of each month (excluding December). The remaining ones for this year are 28 May, 25 June, 23 July, 27 August, 24 September, 22 October and 26 November.
