Feather & Black To Open In Chiswick

Bedroom shop moves into former Adamou greengrocers premises

A shop specialising in beds and bedroom furniture is to open on the site of the former Adamou grocers shop on 124-126 Chiswick High Road.

Feather & Black, which has a chain of shops in the UK, will open its doors on Saturday November 24.

Workers are putting the finishing touches to the renovations at the shop at present. The chain, which has a clearance outlet in Hammersmith, sells beds and bedroom furniture, cabinets and bathroom accessories, bed linen and duvets. It has both adults and childrens’ ranges.

Originally known as the Iron Bed Company, it changed its name in 2004. Its head office is in Chichester.

The Chiswick shop, which will be open from 10 am to 6 pm weekdays and 11-5 on Sundays, is offering a free goody bag to the first 25 customers through the doors on its opening day.

The T Adamou and Sons shop closed in March 2011 after serving customers in Chiswick for fifty years.
