The fourth annual Great River Swim at Corney Reach was held on August Bank Holiday Monday. The event, which is sponsored by nearby restaurant Pissarro's on the River, is held over an estimated distance (allowing for tides) of 1000m and this year a record field of 21 swimmers enjoyed warm sunshine and calm conditions.
The leading men and women both set new course records.
Members of Chiswick Pier Canoe Club escorted the swimmers along the1000m course between Chiswick Pier and Chiswick Eyot and back.
The event raised £100 for charity which will be shared between Chiswick Pier Trust and RNLI.
