This year’s Remembrance Day Service will take place at the Chiswick War Memorial on Turnham Green on Sunday 10 November.

A parade will assemble at the Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place ( W4 2EL) from 10am and make its way through Chiswick town centre to the cenotaph on Turnham Green.

The service commences at 10:30am and the council will be represented by Councillor Peter Thompson.

The event is being co-ordinated by the churches of Chiswick including Christ Church W4, Gunnersbury Baptist Church and Our Lady of Grace & St Edward as well as the Royal British Legion.

A warm welcome is extended to all after the service (which will finish at 11.10am) to come along to Christ Church on Turnham Green for refreshments and prayer activities.

St Michael and All Angel's Remembrance Sunday Choral Requiem Mass will begin at 9.55am, followed by the procession to the Bedford Park Memorial Seat, outside the Parish Hall, for the two minutes’ silence at 11am. All are welcome to attend the service in the church or the Act of Remembrance outside.

A service for Remembrance Sunday will also be held at the war memorial outside Brentford Library at 10.50am.

South Western Railway (SWR) is once again offering serving military personnel and veterans attending any local Remembrance Sunday events on Sunday 10 November the opportunity to travel for free on all its services.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
