Chiswick-based theatre company, Persever Productions, is to stage a May Miscellany featuring poems and readings on the joy of spring and nature.

There will be performances by Emma Langmaid, Zak Bates, Shilpa Varma, Julie Teal and David Whitworth.

It takes place on Sunday 26 May at the Chiswick Catholic Centre (2 Dukes Avenue, W4 2AE) where the company is based with doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tickets cost £8 or £6 for concessions.

Persever Productions aims to bring together actors at different stages of their careers to learn from each other in a true apprenticeship-style ensemble. The group provides mentoring and training to artists to enable them to produce public works of a higher standard.

Monthly events are held including workshops, play-readings and performances. Persever’s Script-In-Hand Performances bring together recent graduates, young actors and those who’ve been doing it for years. Readings so far have included Terence Rattigan’s Harlequinade, NF Simpson’s Was He Anyone, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Alice in Wonderland.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
