Richard Briers, the distinguished television and film actor who recently starred in BBC1's Monarch of the Glenn, and star of classic comedy series The Good Life, is to open Chiswick Community Nursery's May Fair at 11.00am on Saturday 25th May, Turnham Green, Chiswick, W4.

Activities on the day include Punch and Judy shows, barbeque, bar, steel band, face painting, craft stalls plus many more activities for the entire family.

The event is the main fundraising event for the nursery, which offers affordable day care to local families, including single parents and families with special needs. The nursery faces threat of closure due to the cessation of its grant from Hounslow Council.
