There is a French theme to the Hogarth Singers autumn concert with the central work to be Maurice Durufle’s Requiem. In addition, the programme will also include Gabriel Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, and works by Cesar Frank and Camille Saint-Saens.

The soloists will be Sarah Denbee (mezzo soprano) and Geoff Clapham (baritone). The choir will be conducted by its Musical Director Rupert Gill and accompanied by Andrew Wells.

The concert takes place on Saturday 16 November at 7.30pm at the usual performance venue of St Michael and All Angels church, Bath Road, Chiswick, London W4 1TT.

Tickets are available via the website hogarthsingers.uk costing£15 in advance or £16 on the door. Tickets for under 16’s are free.

Membership of the Hogarth Singers ranges between 50 – 60 people and it sings a wide range of choral music, both sacred and secular. The group also organises other activities which enable the choir to sing in a new setting and to enjoy some more sociable experiences not always involving singing.

New members are very welcome, especially tenors and basses, to whom a discount on their subscription is offered for the first term.
