New talent urged to take the stage at the George IV

On Sunday 29th of August a West London Open Mike singing competition will begin. This will be held in comedy club in The George IV on Chiswick High Road. 

There will be 5 preliminary rounds and the winner of each round will receive a cash prize of £30 along with other concessionary gifts and will go forward to the finals to be held in January 2005, where the overall winner will receive £100 + some other rewards.

As a bonus the winning finalist will also be given the option to perform alongside other established artists on Saturday 12th February 2005.

This competition is open to all in the West London area, and as a prerequisite all entrants must be able to perform live without vocal backing tracks (although pre-recorded instrumentals is acceptable). Acoustic groups should not consist of more than 3 persons. Priority will be given to acts that performing original material.

Each of the scheduled events will be hosted by established artists on the circuit, who will also perform on the night.Please come and support your local idol or just enjoy being a part of the experience.
