FROM
INDUSTRY TO ARTISTRY
Diesel
House Studios Summer Exhibition 29th June -
7th July at Kew Bridge Steam Museum
Chiswick
artist Elizabeth Rollins-Scott's dream of creating
an artist's collective came true when the door
of Diesel House Studios opened in February
2001. Situated in the grounds of the historic
Kew Bridge Steam Museum, the Studios house
eight resident artists and craftspeople and
provide gallery space for some 40 others.
This
year, its second Summer Exhibition and Open
Studios will take place during June and July
and boasts a diverse collection of contemporary
artwork from over forty participating artists,
including painters, sculptors, ceramicists,
blacksmiths, printmakers, stained glass and
modelmakers, all of whom regularly exhibit
both in the UK and overseas.
Last year's exhibition attracted over 2,000
visitors, and established Diesel House's position
as one of the most innovative and cutting-edge
arts organisations in the South East. Exhibits
can be bought though the Studio and visitors
will also have the chance to meet the artists
and discuss their work.
