Chiswick resident Keith Myers has successfully completed the Royal Windsor Triathlon in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

He trained hard for this his first triathlon which consisted of swimming 1500m in the River Thames, cycling 40km and then running 10km all without stopping.

He finished the triathlon in a very creditable 2hrs 58minutes breaking his target of 3 hours.

Keith said, "I learned that swimming in a straight line in the Thames is not easy and that no matter hard you paddle, there are always those who can paddle harder. "

He gave a big thank you to everyone who sponsored him and helped him to raise over £1100.

His motivation for setting himself such a tough challenge is to raise as much money as he can for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, after the terrible disease caused his mother’s death some years ago.
