GROVE PARK CPZ SCHEME DUMPED BUT ACTON TOWN TO BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER Councillors in the Chiswick Area have recommended not to proceed with full consultation Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Grove Park after residents overwhelmingly responded to an initial survey rejecting the scheme. The meeting at which the results were disclosed also saw the presentation of a petition against the CPZ signed by 700 people. A scheme for the area has been offered funding by TfL in advance of the proposed Congestion Charging in Central London. A similar scheme for the Acton Town station, based around Gunnersbury, received support from local residents and the proposal will be investigated further. The results for the Acton Town and Grove Park surveys are as follows:
