Twelve new bike racks have been installed in Dukes Meadows near to the site of the Sunday Food Market thanks to the generosity of a local company.

Pai Skincare, has sponsored the new racks, to help the Dukes Meadows Trust have them installed.

Paul Davis, Chair of the Trust said; "loads of people visit the market and park by bike, but there were only a few racks that the Trust fitted years ago when it built the playground. We had frequent requests for more bike racks but the council was, unfortunately, unable to provide any. We were delighted when the founders of Pai Skincare, Ed and Sarah, who use the park, approached us with a very generous offer to sponsor some new bike racks. They are already being well used."

Ed Saper of Pai Skincare said, "Open air markets were brilliant places to go during lockdown and are crucibles of entrepreneurship and innovation. When we heard the Dukes Meadows market was struggling to accommodate visitors cycling in from all over London, we were delighted to help increase capacity in a sustainable way."

His colleague Sarah Brown added, "Pai Skincare started from my garage in Ealing and my first few sales were made at markets. From very small beginnings can grow great companies and it is important to me that we support local enterprise and help the entrepreneurs of the future." Sarah Brown

Pai Skincare's products are formulated and manufactured in South Acton (Colville Road). Pai was previously based in Chiswick (off Devonshire Road) and both founders live in Gunnersbury.

Pai is stocked at John Lewis, Whole Foods Market and locally at Windfall and Planet Organic in Chiswick.
