New Headteacher Appointed To Chiswick School |
Philip Masterson will officially join the secondary school in September A new Headteacher has been appointed to Chiswick School. Philip Masterson, currently the Interim Headteacher at Villiers High School in Southall, will officially take up the position in September 2017. The appointment was announced by the Board of Governors in a letter to parents this week. Jill Coughlan, the current Interim Headteacher at Chiswick, will continue for the current term. Philip Masterson told Chiswickw4.com that he was very excited about his new role. He has been Deputy Headteacher at Villiers High School for over ten years and has worked in the Borough of Ealing for over twenty years. He is a winner of Ealing's Pride In Our People Education Award. A graduate of Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) in Literature and Language he is a co-author of ASK: How To Teach Learning To Learn In The Secondary School The Chair of the Board of Governors of Chiswick School,
Mr. Nicholas Lee, said in his letter to parents,"Philip is currently
the Interim Headteacher at Villiers High School in Southall and so brings
with him significant leadership experience from both this position and
his previous role there as Senior Deputy Head. Villiers High School is
a similar school to Chiswick in terms of size and diversity and is rated
as Good in all areas following its most recent Ofsted inspection in April
