Picture: Clarke Associates Architecture/Urban Design Ltd An application has been submitted to Ealing Council for a major development at the builders’ yard at the junction of Bollo Bridge Road and Acton Lane. The site is an irregular shaped plot between Bollo Bridge Road to the north, Acton Lane to the east, the underground to the south and the rear of properties in Ramsay Road to the west. The plan is to build a seven storey building with a roof garden on top near the road junction containing 44 one, two and three bedroom flats with three news houses at the other end of the site. Parking for the flats will be provided at ground floor level under the proposed building with access from Bollo Bridge Road and within a courtyard for the houses An initial design for the site was submitted back in February 2016 and has subsequently been revised based on feedback from borough planning officers. There have already been a number of objections to the proposals with some local residents fearing it will block out light to their homes while others consider the density of the scheme to be inappropriate for the location. In addition residents of Acton Lane say that, due to a typographical error in the addresses notifications were sent to, they received limited advance notice of the proposal.
