London’s brewer named Regional Brewer of the Year and Managed Pub Company of the Year
Chiswick's Fuller Smith & Turner has been crowned Regional Brewer of the Year and Managed Pub Company of the Year at the prestigious Publican Awards 2011. The victory marks the seventh time London’s brewer has won either title, having scooped Regional Brewer on two previous occasions and Managed Pub Company three times before. “While the beer and pubs industry has had another challenging year, I am delighted with the performance that we have put in at the brewery and am extremely pleased in particular that the judges have recognised the work we do to support our tenants with their businesses. “At the brewery we have a dedicated and talented team of brewers who are constantly looking to innovate and have created some wonderful new beers in this last year. We have also been pleased with our existing brands, with London Pride still the leading premium ale in the UK, and Organic Honey Dew now the best selling organic beer.” “Fuller’s has also experienced a fantastic year within our retail estate,” said Jonathon Swaine, Operations Director for Fuller’s Inns. “And I am delighted we have won the Managed Pub Company of the Year title for a fourth time. We have concentrated on delivering excellence to all our customers, underpinned by our four key pillars of outstanding cask conditioned ales, great wines, delicious food and engaging service. We work in a business of almost 3000 people and everyone single member of the team has contributed to this award. Richard Fuller concluded: “Being awarded the Regional Brewer of the Year and Managed Pub Company of the Year accolades is a huge honour and is testament not only to the quality of our products and our pubs, but also to our outstanding team of people who are dedicated to providing superb beer and a fantastic experience to our customers.” April 8, 2011 |
