Police are appealing for a cyclist who was the victim of a road rage attack to come forward. The incident took place at 4.30pm on Monday 15th November at the junction of Chiswick High Road and Heathfield Terrace.

Witnesses report seeing the driver of a purple Nova - a white male in his early twenties - get out of his car and punch a cyclist. He then made away but, following reports from members of the public he was apprehended by police.

When they returned to the scene the cyclist had already departed. It is not believed that he was seriously hurt but without his testimony it will be impossible for the police to proceed in this case. There is no description of the cyclist available.

The scene of the incident is 20 yards away from where a cyclist was recently killed after been push into on-coming traffic by a door being opened on a parked car.
