Witness appeals for knife point robbery and artifice burglary

On Wednesday 11th June at 17.55 a 59 year old male was walking from Gunnersbury Tube Station towards Harvard Road when the suspect jumped out from behind a tree brandishing a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim handed his wallet over in fear of being harmed. He described the suspect as being a black male, aged approx 18 years, 5’10” with short dark hair and wearing a blue jacket.

The second crime police are seeking help with solving occurred on Wednesday 4th June at 11.30am. The victim, an 89 year old female, answered the door to her Oxford Court (Wellesley Road) home to a male suspect posing as a plumber / kitchen fitter. He told the victim that he needed to switch off the water in her home as he was working on plumbing on an upstairs flat. Once in flat the victim realised that the suspect was bogus. He fled the scene without stealing anything. He is described as a white male aged approx 25 years, 5'5" wearing a thin blue jumper and black trousers.
