Failure to stop at pedestrian crossing results in fight between two women
Commuters were stunned and disgusted when an incident of road rage turned violent. One driver told ChiswickW4.com what she witnessed whilst she sat in a queue of cars on close to the pedestrian crossing on Bollo Lane on Monday morning. "I noticed that a woman in a silver Peugeot convertible didn't stop for a female pedestrian at the crossing. The pedestrian seemed pretty irate and yelled something (wasn't able to hear) at the female driver." She continued "The female driver yelled back, and then left her car in the middle of the road and chased after the pedestrian. This resulted in the two women having a physical fight, one of them ending up on the ground." Chiswick Police are currently investigating this incident and ask witnesses to call Hounslow CID in confidence on 0208 247 6160/5940 or Crime Stoppers anonymously 0800 5551111 quoting crime reference number 0509675/08.
