A French couple who were staying in a Bed and Breakfast had their suitcase stolen from their locked car in Rusthall Avenue.

The incident happened on the 4th January. The couple in the 50’s parked their Blue Peugeot 407 on Rusthall Aveune at around 21.30.

When they returned to the car in the morning of 5th January around 09:00, they noticed the car had been broken into and the suitcase taken.

“It appears some form of tool had been used to gain entry and that no damage was caused to the boot lock mechanism although the light in the boot was broken by the suspect/s.” a police spokesperson said.

Property valued at around £560 was stolen including a plain black suitcase, three pairs of shoes, two black men’s suits, various items of ladies clothing (Jumper, suit, jacket, trousers), a white teapot from Harrods and a white and red teapot with two matching mugs.
