Armed Police on Duke Road

Road sealed off as police make arrests and recover firearm

Police sealed off Duke Road late last Wednesday night and armed police were seen outside a house near the junction with Reckitt Road. Other police were directing traffic away.

A number of very loud bangs had been heard in the road during the day by residents. The police believe that a firearm was discharged in the garden of an address.

Four suspects were arrested at about 22.40pm and a firearm was recovered.
