Chiswick man found guilty of indecent assault
Police praise victims’ courage
Following a major police operation, Denis John Cochrane,
52, a music teacher of Ellesmere Road, W4, was found guilty of seven
counts of indecent assault against males under the age of 16. He
was also found guilty of the additional offence of importuning and
one count of theft. He was sentenced for a total of 7 years.

Colin Smith of Child Protection Team said: "This has been a
successful multi agency investigation involving police, social services
and the education authority. We are delighted with the verdict and
hope that it will bring some closure to the victims.”
He
went on to say "We would like to highlight our admiration of
the victims who only came forward to prevent this happening to others."
