Indrit Krasniqi charged with killing 16 year old girl
A man who the Press Association report as being a Chiswick resident has been charged with the murder of Mary-Ann Leneghan. Indrit Krasniqi, 18, of Oxford Road North who originally comes from Kosovo, appeared at Reading Magistrates Court charged with killing the 16-year-old on the night of May 6. Adrian Thomas, 19, of Battersea, south London was also charged. The pair, who spoke only to confirm their names and give their addresses, are also charged with kidnap and attempting to murder Mary-Ann's 18-year-old friend. The girls were abducted from a disused pub car park in Reading on May 6 by a gang of up to six men. They were then taken to a guest house where they were beaten and sexually abused before being taken to the nearby Prospect Park. Mary-Ann was killed by a stab wound to the neck but, despite being shot in the head, her friend survived, regained consciousness and managed to flag down a passing motorist after being left for dead in a park. Twenty-one-year-old Jamaile Morally, of Balham, south London, already faces the same charges, plus one of raping Mary-Ann's friend. He is reported to have attempted suicide whilst in custody. In total seven men have now been charged with offences relating to the incident. Most of them reside in South West London. May 19, 2005 |
