As part of the continuing investigation into the murder of Alex Kareem, the police have re-released two video clips showing a car driving through Chiswick.

The 20-year-old was shot dead in Askew Road, Shepherd’s Bush on Monday 8 June 2020. The clips, which were reissued on the fourth anniversary of the killing, show a white Range Rover Evoque first driving under the rail bridge at Turnham Green Terrace and then, a few minutes later, turning off Chiswick High Road into Heathfield Terrace.

Alexander had gone into an off-licence shortly before 12:40am to buy sweets and was on his way to a friend's house when he was shot and left for dead in what is believed to have been a case of mistaken identity.

He was still alive when the emergency services arrived but died within the hour at the scene.

It is believed the assailants drove past him on Askew Road in the Range Rover and shot him. The car was found burnt out just 25 minutes later three miles away on Ascott Avenue having passed through Chiswick.

Independent charity Crimestoppers is offering a £20,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible.

The police investigation into the killing continues and has been designated Operation Saveh.

Detectives are still keen to hear from anyone with any information or who may have been in the area at the time or can provide more details about the car shown in the CCTV clips.
