Local firm Harland & Voss launches Share the Summer scheme
Chiswick charities are being offered the chance of electrical work at cost price this summer. Electricians Harland & Voss are launching their 2006 “Share the Summer” scheme - the centrepiece of their community programme – with an invitation to all charities in the area to take advantage of the company’s high standards at specially reduced prices. Sue Granik, Director of Business Development, said “Last summer, we shared 10% of our income between two selected charities. This year we thought we’d share our skills, as well as our profits, with Chiswick’s good causes. “We hope the scheme will encourage charities in the Chiswick area to take advantage of our NICEIC status at greatly reduced costs. There must be several groups in the area with an office or hall or other type of building that could really benefit from high quality, affordable, electrical work. “Our community programme runs all year round, although no groups in Chiswick have yet asked us for support. Hopefully that will change over the summer. We will consider all requests on a first-come-first-served basis, although we will prioritise smaller organisations if demand is very high. “Wherever we do business, we will support the community. It’s the way we choose to run our business. We want to make a difference, however small, to the parts of London where our customers live.”
